Research Assistantship

I worked with Cowessess First Nation and a team of translators, researchers, and psychologists from the University of Regina under the supervision of Dr. Jérôme Melançon. I was tasked with creating documents to explain to the public what the team's work entailed, and later I created postcard designs inviting members of Cowessess First Nation to come share with the team during what were called Wisdom Gatherings.

I spent the majority of the first portion of the summer doing research into trauma-informed graphic design, looking into best practices for presenting information about emotionally heavy topics like these residential schools without causing harm to the audience. All my visual work since has been centred around embracing these principles.
